John Scheibel, CEO

John’s background provides SH with a significant competitive advantage – a capacity to ensure communication strategies and tactics are valuable in the context of who a company is, what they are trying to accomplish and their fundamental business concerns.

He has held diverse financial, operational and executive management positions with a variety of service industries, with a principal focus in insurance and financial services. He is the former CFO and COO for Emjay Corporation, a subsidiary of Great West, and the former General Manager for United Wisconsin Group, a subsidiary of Wellpoint.

The focus of John’s professional life has been to lead organizations to specify their mission, strategies, goals and objectives to develop coordinated actions to achieve them, paying particular attention to successfully addressing issues over multiple horizons of time.

John holds a BBA in Accounting with a minor in Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is a CPA. He is the Secretary/Treasurer of IPREX (www.iprex.com/), Vice President for Communications, and a member of the Board of Directors and the Membership Committee for the Association of Corporate Growth Wisconsin (www.acg.org), and is Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the Spring Gala Silent Auction Committee for My Home, Your Home (www.mhyh.org).

John and his wife, Mary, have three children. His passions are family, Lake Michigan boating and continuous learning – personal and professional. His long-term objective is to play a major role in increasing the rights of abused, neglected and at-risk children.
